Find the answers to all of your questions through this masterclass, organised by Make it in the North together with International Welcome Center North.

About the event

This masterclass will cover the following topics:

  • How to make your vacancies visible to more than 20,000 internationals in the Northern Netherlands and where to meet them face-to-face.
  • Hear about other companies' experiences in recruiting internationals.
  • Things you should pay special attention to when profiling your company as “international friendly”
  • Criteria and requirements for employers when hiring non-EU or EEA citizens.
  • Different types of work permits for non-EU and EEA citizens.
  • Available support and subsidies for companies that are just starting to hire internationals.
  • How to welcome your new international employees

Who is presenting?

Make it in the North

Make it in the North is a non-profit career platform focused on international talent in the North of the Netherlands. MIITN focuses on English-speaking job seekers who do not (yet) speak Dutch, and collect companies and vacancies that are open to this on our platform. They organize events and make existing events accessible to internationals who don't speak Dutch yet. More information can be found at their website.

International Welcome Center North

International Welcome Center North International Welcome Center North (IWCN) is a welcome and support center that helps international residents and employers in Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe to establish, work and integrate through information sessions, personal consultations and events.
