Business Lunch Talk | Drenthe

Business Lunch Talk (BLT)
Where lunch meets launch. It’s a sandwich. It’s a story. It might just change your plans.
BLT stands for Business Lunch Talk, but it’s also a good excuse to eat a sandwich while hearing what it’s actually like to start a company.
This is where curious students, researchers, and future founders gather to hear unfiltered stories from real entrepreneurs who’ve built (and sometimes blown up) their own ventures.
What to expect:
Each BLT is a casual, one-hour lunch event where an invited founder shares their journey: the wins, the flops, the pivots, and everything in between. You’ll hear what it really takes to start something from scratch, and maybe get inspired to try it yourself. Expect a good story, a good crowd, and a seriously good sandwich.
Why come?
- You want to hear what it’s really like, not just the shiny bits
- You’re into the idea of building something
- Space to ask questions, chat, and connect
- You like sandwiches
What’s with the rocket part? 🚀
Good question. At this event, you’ll get The Flame: the first piece of a miniature rocket. Attend all four events, collect all four pieces (Flame, Engine, Body, Cockpit), and you’ll have a full rocket by the end. Each piece marks a new stage in your startup journey, from first spark to full launch. It’s a physical token of your curiosity, commitment, and growing know-how.
BLTs are your starting point. Come for the sandwich, stay for the story—and walk away with your first step toward building something of your own.
About the speaker:
Virginia Yanquilevich has been the CEO of Dopper since 2017 and leads the Dutch social enterprise in its global mission: making safe tap water accessible to everyone and reducing the use of single-use plastic. Under her leadership, Dopper has grown into the world’s most sustainable brand for reusable bottles, ranks among the top 10% of B Corps worldwide, and has won multiple awards for its circular bottles and the Water Tap.
Virginia is a tireless advocate for social and environmental impact. Her activism began in her teenage years in Argentina, where she fought for water rights and equal opportunities. She brought this passion with her to the Netherlands, which she has proudly called home for over 20 years.
As the winner of the NBCC Woman of the Year 2025 Award, Virginia is a purpose-driven leader dedicated to creating maximum impact and structural change. She is known for her energy and her ability to connect people, businesses, and governments, all while working toward her vision: a world in which everyone has access to safe, clean drinking water.
