What does the national startup and scale-up policy mean for the Northern Netherlands?
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate is organizing and leading this regional discussion as part of the national startup and scale-up action agenda. During this session, the ministry will talk to key players from the Northern Netherlands to hear how policy is experienced locally, where opportunities lie and where bottlenecks are felt.
This letter to parliament explains the action agenda.
During this physical meeting, we will discuss how national policy lands in the region, what bottlenecks and opportunities are being experienced, and how we, as a region, can jointly influence the next steps. Topics covered include:
- Strengthening the ecosystem (such as the follow-up to Techleap)
- Talent and tax participation
- Capital and funding (such as blended finance, NII)
- Valorisation of knowledge (such as academic startup competition, NADI)
- Space and growth infrastructure
- International market access (such as ScaleNL)
